This contract certifies an official binding agreement between Great Pacific Danes and Bulldogs (hereafter known as “Breeder”) and _______________________________  (hereafter known as “Purchaser.”) The Bulldog puppy is sold to the purchaser according to the following conditions:

  • Breeder has followed the breed’s guidelines, health tests and careful pairing to ensure that the sire and dam are sound breeding stock. The puppy has been reared in a home environment and has been dewormed at 2 week intervals. The puppy is believed to be in good health at the time of the exchange of the animal from Breeder to Purchaser, and has been examined by a veterinarian at 8 weeks.

  • The purchaser must feed good quality puppy food for Bulldogs to avoid health issues. Breeder highly recommends Farmina N&D Pumpkin Medium and Maxi Puppy food for the first year. Puppies do well on it. However, other high protein and good quality puppy foods are acceptable. Avoid strenuous exercise until all joints are properly developed, especially in the early months (no jumping off couches or beds as much as possible).  Contact the Breeder immediately if the puppy seems unwell or not developing normally.

  • Vaccination : Puppies 8 to 20 weeks of age: in puppies, a series of vaccines is recommended. These are given at 8 weeks of age, and need to be repeated every 3 to 4 weeks until your puppy is approximately 16 weeks old. We recommend that you vaccinate your puppy for DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus), leptospirosis, bordetella, and rabies.  The most appropriate vaccination program for your pet should be followed. Choose a vet who is knowledgeable about brachycephalic breeds. This is crucial for surgeries.

  • Breeder has made direct inquiry of the Purchaser regarding Purchaser’s previous experience with dogs, and with this specific breed.

  • Breeder has pointed out to the Purchaser breed specific conditions that this puppy may be prone to (skin allergies, thyroid and heart disease, Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome, overheating, interdigital cysts, thyroid issues, canine hip dysplasia, cherry eye, entropions, head shakes, cancer). In addition, Breeder has disclosed those health schemes recommended to be followed to reduce the risk of occurrence of such conditions. Purchaser recognizes and agrees that every puppy is an individual and the Breeder cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any conditions, genetic or otherwise, which develop later in life.  Our puppies are guaranteed until two years of age against fatal and life altering congenital diseases, which adversely affect the health of the animal. Should the dog die within this two-year frame, the buyer will pay to have a necropsy. If the reason is congenital, the breeder/seller will replace the puppy. Our health guarantee does not cover what is considered in the bulldog breed to be common: cherry eye, entropion or any eyelid/eyelash problems, loose hips/knees, hemi vertebra, skin allergies, elongated soft palate and demodectic mange. Our guarantee also does not include poisoning, accidents, negligence of behavioral problems as training philosophies and environments vary.

  • The Purchaser agrees to train the puppy and to provide proper socialization and to avoid aggressive behaviours towards humans or other dogs.

  • The purchaser agrees that the dog will be kept in appropriate conditions for its health and well-being. The Purchaser agrees that the puppy will be fed a suitable diet for its age and condition, as well as have adequate exercise. The puppy will receive all necessary veterinary care to maintain good physical health. The puppy will be kept under appropriate control and will not be neglected or maltreated in any way which may be construed as harmful to his/her health. The Purchaser attests that he/she has not been banned from keeping a dog or any other animal by any legal court order.

  • The Purchaser agrees to inform the Breeder of health issues that may develop or if any health screening is performed as a result.

  • Bulldogs are not outdoor dogs! They have short, light coats which makes them susceptible to cold or hot weather.  Bulldogs can die from heat exposure due to their short nose. It may take hours to see signs of affected dogs. Purchaser agrees to take all possible measures to avoid exposing their dog to extreme heat.

  • The Purchaser is aware of the Trupanion Insurance offer that is free for one month. It can be discontinued or continued after. It must be activated within 24 hours of puppy purchase.

  • The Purchaser must register the puppy under a Dog-Find registry, and must share the registry information with the breeder. This is necessary in case the dog is stolen or lost.

  • If circumstances occur where it becomes necessary to re-home the puppy (at any age), Purchaser agrees that Breeder must first be notified and given an opportunity to rehome the dog. However, due to limited space at the Breeder’s property, Great Pacific Danes and Bulldogs can not guarantee that it can take possession of a dog sold to the Purchaser. Each case is unique.

  • Our puppies are sold on non-breeding contracts. Any breach of this section constitutes a 15,000.00  fine payable to the breeder.

  • No refunds or vet fees are ever given, under any circumstance.

  • The Purchaser agrees to pay the Breeder any and all expenses, including court costs in the Breeders province and reasonable attorney fees, in enforcing the terms and provisions of this contract.

  • The Purchaser agrees that the dog cannot be euthanized without the written consent of the Breeder, unless under advisement of a licensed vet due to medical reasons only.

  • The Buyer agrees that the Breeder is in no way liable or responsible for any damage, accident, or injury resulting from the dog, or to the dog after delivery.
